Guwahati, 26 February (HS): Dedicated senior worker of Assam Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party and former state organisational general secretary of the Assam state BJP Harekrishna Bharali breathed his last late last night. His death has sent a wave of mourning in the state BJP.

Bharali, who was one of the pioneers of the fight for democracy in the country during the Emergency period, was kept in jail.

His body will be brought to the state office of the party this morning. Where state president Dilip Saikia and all party workers was present for the last darshan and tribute.
