Vatican City, 25 February (HS): Pope Francis' health is improving rapidly. 88-year-old Francis has been hospitalized since February 15. He has a lung infection. Prayers are being offered all over the world for his speedy recovery. Vatican City has reported that Pope Francis slept well at night. He has made two important appointments by amending the law of Vatican City.

Meanwhile, the Holy See Press Office announced on Tuesday that Pope Francis has amended the Fundamental Law of the State of Vatican City (May 13, 2023) and Law No. CCLXXIV on the Government of the State of Vatican City (November 25, 2018).

In light of these changes, he appointed two persons as the Secretary General of the Vatican City Governorate from March 1, 2025. Sr. Raffaella Petrini and Archbishop Emilio Nappa have been given new responsibilities. Petrini is currently the president of the Pontifical Commission in the Vatican City State. Emilio Nappa is the assistant secretary of the Department of Christian Propaganda. The Pope has also authorized Senior Petrini to change his responsibilities as needed.
