New Delhi, 25 February (HS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against unknown persons running a fake recruitment racket. They are accused of cheating unemployed people by falsely promising jobs in the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
According to the CBI statement, investigation is underway in the case and the agency has conducted searches at 02 locations in Jaipur and one location in New Delhi in this regard. Fraudulent recruiters were dishonestly offering jobs for various posts including peon, sweeper, multi-tasking staff and lower division clerk and charging amounts ranging from Rs 10 to 25 lakh from the candidates. After the payment was made, the candidates were instructed through email to undergo medical examination at a fake so-called DRDO-affiliated facility located in New Delhi. After this, fake appointment letters were issued to the job aspirants and they were instructed to report for a three-month training session at a fake DRDO office in Jaipur.
