New Delhi, February 24 (HS): Serbian star tennis player Novak Djokovic will play in the ATP 1000-level tournament Indian Wells. The tournament organizers wrote on the x, A legend has returned to the desert, ending the concern about whether he would play or not.

The 24-time Grand Slam winner retired from the Australian Open semi-final against Alexander Zverev last month due to a hamstring problem. He lost in the first round of the Qatar Open last week. The 37-year-old player said he played without pain in Doha, but his disappointing performance raised concerns among fans that he would not play in the event in Southern California.

Five-time Indian Wells winner Djokovic will aim to become the third player in the professional era to win 100 singles titles after Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103).
