Washington, February 23 (HS): Italy's PM Georgia Meloni on Saturday strongly criticized the leftist leaders accusing them of adopting double standards. Meloni said that when Bill Clinton and Tony Blair created the Global Leftist Liberal Network in the 90s, they were called statesmen, but when Trump, Meloni, Miley (Argentina's President) or Modi talk, they are called a threat to democracy.
Italy's PM Georgia Meloni, who joined the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington via a video link, said that the left is extremely disappointed and upset by Trump's victory. This is not because conservatives are winning, but conservatives are now coming together at the global level. She said that today when Trump, Meloni, Miley or Modi talk, it is called a threat to democracy.
Calling it a double standard, she said that they have now become accustomed to it and the public also does not believe in this lie. The public is voting for us.
She said ,we are not ruling, but serving the public.
Meloni said ,our government is constantly working to give Italy a better place at the international level. We are making Italy better to establish its role in the world once again as a global leader.
