New Delhi, 23 February (HS): Congress' next All India Session will be held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 8th and 9th April. Representatives of All India Congress Committee (AICC) from across the country will participate in it.
It is believed that Congress will consider intensifying the political campaign against BJP at the national level and the party's future action plan.
On Sunday, the party issued a statement saying that the session will begin with the meeting of the extended Congress Working Committee (CWC) on 8th April. After this, there will be a meeting of AICC representatives on 9th April. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will chair both the meetings. It will be attended by Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition (Lok Sabha) Rahul Gandhi, Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states, party's national office bearers, senior leaders and other AICC representatives.
The party says that this upcoming session will not only serve as a platform for important deliberations but will also reaffirm the collective resolve of the Congress Party to address the concerns of the common people and present a strong alternative vision for the nation. This session is being held as a continuation of the resolutions adopted in the extended Congress Working Committee (CWC) and Nav Satyagraha meeting at the AICC session held in Belgaum. The CWC meeting was held in the 1924 session to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi assuming the post of Congress President
