Guwahati, 23 February (HS): The 119th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' received a tremendous response in Assam. Lakhs of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers across the state listened to the program collectively in 29,656 booth-committee meetings. Under a well-organized effort by BJP Assam Pradesh, thousands of booths in the state were turned into centers of enthusiasm and discussion, where party workers listened attentively to the Prime Minister's address.
All the ministers of the Assam government also attended the session chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma before the cabinet meeting in the state capital. BJP state president Dilip Saikia, state general secretary Pulak Gohain and a group of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers also attended the session at booth number 45 of Narkasur Mandal in Guwahati.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the important role of India's tribal communities in environmental protection. He emphasized on traditional knowledge and collective responsibility for environmental protection. The Prime Minister also mentioned the remarkable success achieved in protecting the one-horned rhinoceros in Assam, which was once under serious threat due to poaching.
The unprecedented participation of BJP workers in this edition reflects the ideological cohesion and organizational strength of the party. This event not only reflects the strong relationship between the Prime Minister and the workers, but also underlines his unwavering commitment towards nation building.
