Dehradun, 22 February (HS): Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan created a new record by breaking her own previous record by conducting the proceedings of the House for the longest 11 hours 51 minutes in a day on February 21, during the budget session of the fifth assembly.

This is the longest session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly till date. This historic session conducted by Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan on February 21, 2025 broke all records so far. Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan conducted the proceedings continuously for 08 hours 47 minutes in the second session of a day without any rest, which is an example in itself. For this historic moment, the entire executive and members of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly have congratulated and wished him. Everyone said that this achievement not only sets a new standard in the legislative system of Uttarakhand, but also serves as an inspiration for other assemblies. Even before this, there are many examples of long sessions being held in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly.
