Guptkashi, 22 February (HS): As per the instructions of the administration, it has been made mandatory for all eligible officers/employees of Rudraprayag district to register their marriage under the Uniform Civil Code. To facilitate the process of marriage registration, the administration has organized special camps, where marriage registration can be done.

Chief Development Officer GS Khati said that the dates and places have been identified by the district administration for registration, according to which from 24 February to 27 February, one can register by reaching Vikas Bhawan Auditorium, Bela Khurud, all Tehsil Auditoriums and Police Line, Ratuda. Along with this, interested citizens can also get registered from their nearest CSC center or can self-register through the Citizen Section on the ucc.uk.gov.in portal.

To register, separate and joint photographs of husband and wife, permanent residence certificate, high school certificate, birth certificate, PAN card and passport, children's certificates (if available), Aadhaar cards of two witnesses (must be linked to mobile number), marriage photograph, copy of marriage card if the marriage took place on or after 27 January 2025. It is mandatory to register marriages done after 26 March 2010 within six months from 27 January 2025. Those whose marriage certificates have already been made will have to upload the acknowledgement on the UCC portal.
