NEW DELHI, 22 February (H.S.) : Search for government
accommodation started for the newly appointed Chief Minister and Ministers in
Delhi, currently the new CM is living in her private residence in Shalimar
Bagh. She said, she will not live in “Sheesh-Mahal”. Officials of the Public
Works Department (PWD) have given some options to CM Rekha Gupta for her govt.
accommodation. Which includes govt. bungalows situated on Civil Line, bungalows
situated on Daryaganj Road and bungalows situated on Mathura Road. However, the
final decision will be taken by her in which government residence she will stay.
The search for government
accommodation has now started for the the newly appointed Chief Minister and
ministers. There is no official Chief Minister's residence in Delhi. Therefore,
whenever there has been a change of power, the residence of Chief Minister's has
been changes. Even before the Delhi Assembly elections, the party's state
president Virendra Sachdeva, Central Home Minister, Amit Shah too had said that
if BJP government is formed, its CM will not live in that Sheesh-Mahal prepared
by Arvind Kejriwal. Now that Rekha Gupta has become the Chief Minister, she has
also made it clear that she will not live in that disputed bungalow. The
irregularities in its construction are being investigated.
