The first session of Delhi

Assembly will run from 24 to 27 February, only for 4 days. CAG can present 14

reports in this session.

After the formation of the

new BJP government in Delhi, the session of Delhi Assembly has been called from

24th February. This session will continue till 27th February. In the meantime,

there will be a holiday for Mahashivratri. According to BJP MLA Vijendra Gupta,

in this session the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Delhi Assembly will be

elected by the Protem Speaker nominated by Lieutenant Governor Saxena. After that,

the newly elected MLAs will take Oath in the first meeting of the Assembly.

The first cabinet meeting

was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of newly elected Chief Minister of

Delhi, Rekha Gupta. After this meeting, in a press conference, the CM had said

that in the first meeting of the assembly session, 14 reports of CAG, which prepared

during the Aam Aadmi Party government, will be presented. Therefore, it is

expected that the government may table that CAG report in the house itself. For

which the questions raised by CAG on different departments of Aam Aadmi Party government,

will be made public.

According to the

information received, there is consensus on the name of Rohini MLA Vijendra

Gupta for the Speaker of Delhi Assembly. Vijendra Gupta is 6-time experienced

leader and MLA.
