New Delhi, February 21 (HS): The Central Government has received a total of Rs 3351 crore as dividend installments from public sector companies GAIL (India) Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
In a statement issued on Friday, the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) Secretary said that the Central Government has received about Rs 2202 crore and Rs 1149 crore respectively as dividend installments from public sector natural gas company GAIL India Limited and oil and gas marketing company Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
GAIL India Limited is an Indian government-owned energy corporation, which is engaged in the field of trading, transmission and production distribution of natural gas. At the same time, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited is a Fortune 500 company, which is the third largest integrated oil refining and marketing public sector company of the Government of India.
