NEW DELHI, 21 February (H.S.) : As soon as CM Rekha Gupta

and other ministers took oath in Delhi, the first cabinet meeting of the

government took place in which many important decisions were taken. After a

long wait of 27 years, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finally returned to

power in Delhi.

On Thursday, Rekha Gupta

took an Oath as Chief Minister and 6 MLAs took oath as ministers. Immediately

after swearing in, the new government actively called the first cabinet

meeting, where many important decisions were taken.

Ayushman Bharat Yojana got

approval: In the first meeting of the cabinet, it was decided to implement

Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Delhi. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that

under this scheme, citizens of Delhi will get a health insurance cover of Rs 10

lakh. Out of this, Rs 5 lakh will be provided by the Delhi Government and Rs 5

lakh will be provided by the Central Government. The objective of implementing

Ayushman Yojana is to make health services accessible and affordable, so that economically

weaker and middle-class people can get relief from huge medical expenses.She said that earlier this scheme was not allowed to be

implemented by the Delhi government of Aam Aadmi Party.
