Car returning from Prayagraj collides with truck, six dead


Patna, 21 February (HS): Six pilgrims returning from Prayagraj Maha Kumbh in Bihar's Bhojpur district died in a road accident this morning. The deceased also include a couple and their two children.

The accident took place near the petrol pump located in Dulhanganj market of Jagdishpur police station area on Ara-Mohania National Highway, 40 km before the capital Patna. The pilgrims' car hit a parked truck from behind.

The family travelling in the car was a resident of Jakkanpur, Patna. The deceased include four women and two men. They have been identified as Sanjay Kumar (62), son of late Vishnu Dev Prasad, resident of Sudama Colony in Jakkanpur, wife Karuna Devi (58), son Lal Babu Singh (25), daughter Priyam Kumari (20) and Asha Kiran (28), daughter of Anand Singh, resident of Kumhrar, Patna, and Juhi Rani (25), daughter of Chandrabhushan Prasad.
