Islamabad, 20 February (H.S): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a reward for the capture of 14 terrorists, alive or dead, who are killing people in the most restive Kurram district of the province. In the government notification, the estimated amount of the prize is about Rs 130 million.

According to ARY news channel, the highest reward of Rs 30 million has been announced for the dreaded terrorist Kazim. The remaining 13 terrorists have a reward ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore. The notification states that the names of the informants will be kept confidential. The decision comes as part of the government's strong efforts to fight terrorism in the sector. The purpose of the bounty on the head of terrorists in Kurram is to motivate the public to provide important information.Recently, 10 terrorists have been arrested from different areas of Kurram. These terrorists were involved in the attack on a convoy on February 17. Provincial Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that foreign elements are supplying arms and ammunition to the terrorists. External forces want to set the entire Pakistan on fire. We didn't back down. No terrorist will survive.

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has launched a major operation to rid Kurram district of terrorists in view of the continuous attacks on security forces and aid convoys. Residents of four villages of Ochat, Dad Kamar, Manduri and Bagan in Kurram district have been asked to vacate their homes.
