Mumbai, 20 February (HS): Maharashtra Agriculture Minister and NCP (AP) leader Manikrao Kokate and his brother have been sentenced to 2 years in a forgery case by the Nashik District Court on Thursday. Along with this, a fine of Rs 50,000 has been imposed. Manik Rao Kokate said that he has filed a bail petition in the court. Also, this decision will be challenged in the higher court.
In 1995, former minister Tukaram Dighole had filed a case against Manikrao Kokate and his brother for tampering with documents. In this case, today the Nashik District Court has pronounced the verdict against Manikrao Kokate and his brother.
