As decided by the party, at 8.30pm, Newly elected CM Rekha Gupta went to meet Delhi’s LG. Tomorrow, she will take Oath with her team at Ramlila Maidan. BJP is forming government in Delhi after 27 years. And now it has been decided in the BJP Legislature Party meeting that Rekha Gupta will be the Chief Minister of Delhi. Rekha Gupta is MLA from Shalimar Bagh, Delhi.
In the BJP Legislature Party meeting, Rekha Gupta's name was proposed by Pravesh Verma and Vijendra Gupta, which was unanimously accepted. Rekha Gupta has been elected MLA for the first time from Shalimar Bagh seat of Delhi. He defeated AAP's Bandana Kumari from Shalimar Bagh seat by a margin of 29,595 votes. The top leadership of BJP including PM Modi and Amit Shah has finalized the name of the new Chief Minister of Delhi after several rounds of meetings. Apart from Rekha Gupta, there was speculation about many names including Pravesh Verma, Manoj Tiwari and Manjinder Singh Sirsa for the post of CM, which is now over.On this occasion, she has been congratulated by the party.
