New Delhi, February 19 (HS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is now going to announce the Chief Ministerial candidate of Delhi in a few hours. The name of the Chief Minister of Delhi will be revealed after the meeting of the BJP Legislature Party at the Delhi BJP office on Wednesday evening at 7 pm. The next day, i.e. tomorrow, on February 20, the oath ceremony of the Chief Minister and Ministers of Delhi has been organized at Ramlila Maidan.

Preparations for the Chief Minister's oath ceremony had started two days ago at Ramlila Maidan. The Chief Minister's oath taking ceremony will begin at 10 am on February 20. BJP has named it 'Developed Delhi oath ceremony'.

BJP has won the Delhi Assembly elections with a majority by ousting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government from power. BJP has won 48 seats in the assembly elections and AAP had to be content with 22 seats. Congress has not won a single seat in Delhi for the third time in a row.

BJP formed the government in Delhi for the first time on 2 December 1993. At that time Madan Lal Khurana was the Chief Minister for two years and 86 days. After that BJP made Sahib Singh Verma the Chief Minister and he was the Chief Minister for two years and 228 days. After this Sushma Swaraj was the Chief Minister of Delhi for 52 days. Her tenure started on 12 October 1998 and ended on 3 December 1998.

After this Congress ruled Delhi for 15 years and Aam Aadmi Party ruled Delhi for ten years. BJP is going to form the government in Delhi with the Chief Minister's oath ceremony on Wednesday.
