Weather takes turn, light rain likely in capital for next two days


New Delhi, February 18 (HS): The weather has once again taken a turn amid rising temperatures in the capital and surrounding areas for the last several days. Due to the western disturbance becoming active, there is a possibility of rain in the capital as well as Rajasthan and Haryana for the next two days. This is likely to cause a slight drop in temperature.

On Tuesday, the Meteorological Department said that in the next two hours, there is a possibility of light rain/drizzle in some places of Delhi (Rohini, Badili, Pitampura, Mundaka, Paschim Vihar, Punjabi Bagh, Rajouri Garden, Buddha Jayanti Park, Jafarpur, Najafgarh, Dwarka, Delhi Cantt, Palam, Vasant Vihar, Vasant Kunj), NCR (Bahadurgarh, Gurugram, Manesar) Sohana, Rewari, Palwal, Bawal, Nuh, Aurangabad, Hodal (Haryana) Jattari, Khair, Nandgaon. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain in Iglas, Barsana, Raya, Hathras, Mathura, Saadabad, Agra, Jaju (UP) Bhiwadi, Tijara, Khairthal, Nagar, Deeg, Nadbai, Bharatpur, Bayana, Dholpur (Rajasthan) during the next 2 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, the capital may remain lightly cloudy on February 18 and there may also be light fog in the morning. There is a possibility of light rain in Delhi on February 19 and 20, due to which the cold in the weather may increase. Also, strong surface winds are likely to blow at a speed of 20-25 km per hour.

At the same time, IMD has also predicted rain and snowfall in hilly states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal this week.
