Vadodara, February 17 (HS): Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets in the fourth match of the Women's Premier League 2025. With this win, RCB registered their second consecutive win in the tournament and topped the points table.
In this match played at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana won the toss and decided to bowl first. Delhi team came out to bat first but the start was not good. The team scored 141 runs in 19.3 overs. Jemima Rodrigues scored the highest 34 runs, while Sarah Bryce added 23 runs.
The bowlers performed brilliantly from RCB's side. Renuka Thakur Singh and Georgia Wareham took three wickets each, while Kim Garth and Ekta Bisht took two wickets each.
RCB got off to a strong start chasing the target of 142 runs set by Delhi. Smriti Mandhana played a brilliant innings of 81 runs, in which she hit 10 fours and 3 sixes in 47 balls. Danielle Wyatt-Hodge also contributed 42 runs. The team achieved the target in 16.2 overs by losing just two wickets.
Arundhati Reddy and Shikha Pandey took one wicket each for Delhi Capitals.
