Raisen, 18 February (HS): Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey (Naksha) Pilot Project of Urban Settlements in a program organized at Raisen District Headquarters on Tuesday. This pilot project has been started in 152 urban local bodies of 26 states and three union territories of the country by the Department of Land Resources of the Rural Development Ministry of the Central Government.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Raisen helipad by helicopter at around 12 noon on Tuesday, where the district in-charge minister Narayan Singh Pawar, Minister of State Narendra Shivaji Patel, MLA Surendra Patwa and Collector-SP welcomed them. After this, they reached the venue of the event located at Dussehra Ground. On reaching the venue, first of all, both the leaders walked on the ramp and showered flowers on the public, after which the program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. After this, a film based on the 'Naksha' project was screened.
In the program, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, this is not only a program of Raisen or Madhya Pradesh. The 'Naksha' program of the whole of India is being launched from here today. In this, 23 states and three union territories are associated with this scheme, but I wanted to start this program from Raisen.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that farmers will benefit from this scheme. Every farm will get water and electricity, so the 'Naksha' program is being launched. Work will be done on the basis of 'Naksha' by conducting a survey with a drone in your own village, in your city, in your section. During this, he targeted the Congress and said that the Congress party will be closed, but the Ladli Behna Yojana will not.
In the program, the urban survey program 'Naksha' was launched at the national level with the flight of the drone. Along with this, the Watershed Yatra was also flagged off. During this, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) booklet was released. Videos and flyers were also released on the 'Naksha' program. Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Dr. Chandrashekhar Pemmasani, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma and Minister of State for Fisheries Narayan Singh Pawar, along with many MLAs and local public representatives were also present in the program.
The 'Naksha' program aims to create and update land records in urban areas, so as to ensure accurate and reliable documentation of land ownership. This initiative will empower citizens, make life easier, enhance urban planning and reduce land-related disputes. Survey of India is the technical partner for the Naksha program, which is responsible for conducting aerial surveys and providing orthorectified imagery to the state and union territory governments through third-party vendors. The end-to-end web-GIS platform will be developed by Madhya Pradesh State Electronic Development Corporation (MPSEDC) and storage facilities will be provided by National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI).
