New Delhi, 18 February (HS): President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday formally welcomed Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He was formally welcomed with a guard of honour at a ceremony held in the premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal posted on Instagram, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on his state visit to India. Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad was given a formal welcome and guard of honour at the premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Qatar's Emir reached New Delhi on Monday on a two-day visit to India. Prime Minister Modi himself reached the airport and welcomed him.
