With this slogan, the Rajasthan Royals team, which will play two home matches of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Guwahati, is going to give a new gift to the cricket fans of Assam and the entire North East this time. The team has decided that for the first time cricket lovers will be able to enjoy their practice session by sitting in the stadium.
The open practice session of Rajasthan Royals will be held on February 21 from 7 pm to 11 pm at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara, where spectators will get a chance to watch the practice of the players without any ticket. This will be the first time that the practice session of a team in Assam is being opened for spectators in the stadium.
Under this, Rajasthan Royals have started their practice session at the ACA Stadium from Tuesday. Many players including Assam's Riyan Parag, Nitish Rana, Dhruv Jurel, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Ashok Sharma, Akash Madhwal and Sandeep Sharma participated in the first day's practice. This training camp will run till February 22 in the presence of head coach Rahul Dravid and spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule.
It is worth mentioning that this time Rajasthan Royals is not only playing matches but also conducting its training camp in Guwahati. In the new season of IPL, the team will play its home matches against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26 and Chennai Super Kings on March 30 in Guwahati. Before this, the team played its first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23.
For the third consecutive time, Rajasthan Royals have chosen Guwahati as their second home ground. The way cricket lovers of the North-East supported Rajasthan Royals in the last two seasons, the team is feeling emotionally attached to this region.
