NEW DELHI, 18 February (H.S.) :
After taking oath at
Ramlila Maidan, the new Chief Minister of Delhi will go directly to the
Secretariat. The first cabinet meeting will be held there. Usually the first
cabinet meeting is informal, in which the ministers are informed about their
departments. Apart from this, some issues will be discussed and decisions will
also be taken in the first meeting on the evening of 20th February. Even before
the formation of the new government in Delhi, officials started making the list
of work. The office of the Chief Secretary in Delhi Government is busy
finalizing this cabinet note. The government's 100-day action plan will be
discussed in the first cabinet meeting. According to the information received
from the officers, usually, the cabinet meetings happens to informal but the
government's 100-day action plan has been prepared based on the developed by ‘Delhi
Sankalp Patra-2025’ will be discussed.
According to sources, like
Modi Government’s swearing-in plan and as per the cabinet note, the Chief
Secretary directed all the departments to prepare a 100-day action plan for
their departments in the context of the Delhi Sankalp Patra-2025 developed by
the new government. The action plan should focus on goals to be accomplished
within a period of 15 days, month wise and for 100 days. All departments have
prepared their cabinet notes regarding this. GAD (General Administration
Department of Delhi Government) will consolidate the 100 day action plans and
place it for the consideration of the government.
First of all, 'Ayushman
Bharat Scheme': A cabinet note has been prepared by the Health Department to
implement the 'Ayushman Bharat Scheme', which provides free treatment to a
person up to Rs 5 lakh with a cover of additional Rs 5 lakh from the state
government. As announced by the PM Modi at the time of election campaign, a
special care has been taken that which provisions need to be changed, so that of
more and more people can be made Ayushman card in Delhi. This cabinet note has
been prepared by the Health and Family Welfare Department.
There are many types of
agencies in Delhi. Keeping this in mind, a cabinet note has been prepared for
the first time to create a centralized control room. At present this control
room will be setting at in NDMC area. A cabinet note has been prepared for this,
this control room will share the real time data with the concerned departments
for quick action. Additional Chief Secretary of IT and GAD will take necessary
action to make it operational.
A Cabinet note has also
been prepared regarding what appropriate measures will be taken by Delhi Jal
Board for taking necessary steps to prevent any overflow of sewage in
colonies/areas. This cabinet note is being prepared by Delhi Jal Board itself. The
Chief Secretary in the Delhi Cabinet stressed that the departments should take
steps for cleaning and desilting of drains to deal with the rains in the
upcoming monsoon season. Also, all necessary steps should be taken care to
prevent water logging and flood situations. For this job, different agencies of
Delhi have been involved by the Chief Secretary. I&FC, MCD, NDMC, DJB, PWD,
DUSIB are prominent out of them.
As Prime Minister announced
during election campaign, a cabinet note has been prepared for Delhi Cabinet
regarding the implementation of all those schemes/programs of the Central
Government which have not yet been implemented in Delhi.
