Guwahati, 18 February (HS): A special awareness meeting on cybercrime was held for senior citizens today in the Hatigaon police station area of the capital Guwahati. This special program was organized by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Guwahati Center.

The awareness meeting was organized on Tuesday at the Durga Temple in Bhetapara in the city. Through this, senior citizens were made aware about recent developments, especially about cybercrimes. The speakers elaborated on what should be done to avoid falling into the clutches of cybercriminals.

Director (IT) and DIO Sabin Das were present as the chief guest and speaker on this occasion. Along with this, police officer Mridul Chakraborty, former administrative officer Himanshu Shekhar Das and many other prominent persons were present. Hundreds of senior citizens of the Bhetapara area participated in the meeting.
