
Chennai, 8 December (H.S.) : The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) has secured the top award at the inaugural national AI/ML Conference held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on December 6 and 7.
The state utility won the first prize in the category titled Data Analytics on top of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI): Transformation of Utilities from Reactive to Predictive.
TNPDCL's winning solution was chosen by the jury from a total of 195 nominations received from various utilities and service providers across the country, with Madhya Pradesh being named the runner-up.
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Power (MoP) in collaboration with REC and PFC. IT engineers from both TNPDCL and TANTRANSCO participated, showcasing their AI/ML-based model which was evaluated based on the quality of its demonstration, real-world applicability, and scalability for leveraging AMI data analytics.
