
New Delhi, 6 December (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s widely popular interactive programme ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (PPC) will return with its ninth edition in January 2026. The initiative, which provides a platform for students, parents, and teachers to directly engage with the Prime Minister, focuses on easing exam-related stress, preparing positively, and treating examinations as a celebration rather than a challenge.
According to the Ministry of Education, a multiple-choice online competition is being held on the MyGov portal from December 1, 2025, to January 11, 2026, to select participants for the upcoming event. Students from Classes 6 to 12, along with teachers and parents, are eligible to take part. All registered participants will receive a certificate of participation issued by MyGov.
The eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, aired on February 10, 2025, was hosted in the scenic Sunder Nursery in New Delhi in a uniquely innovative format. It featured 36 representative students from across all states and union territories, including participants from government schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, and CBSE institutions.
Winners of initiatives such as Prerna Alumni, Kala Utsav, and Veer Gatha were also part of the event.The 2025 edition also presented seven thematic episodes covering mental wellness, sports and discipline, nutrition, technology, financial literacy, creativity, and positivity. Highlighting its global reach, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 earned a Guinness World Record, with participation from students in over 245 countries, teachers from 153 nations, and parents from 149.
From its humble beginning in 2018 with just 22,000 participants, the initiative has witnessed exponential growth — registering over 3.56 crore participants in 2025, with an additional 1.55 crore people joining the associated mass movement, bringing total participation close to 5 crore.
