Guwahati, 06 December (HS): A joint operation conducted by Dispur and Noonmati police led to the recovery of a substantial quantity of stolen goods from a rented house in the city.

Police said on Saturday that teams from Dispur and Noonmati police stations launched a coordinated raid in the Patharquarry area. During the search of a rented residence linked to a suspected habitual thief, officers recovered ₹40,000 in cash, two Lenovo laptops with chargers, six mobile handsets, an LED TV, an air pistol, a large collection of coins, two pairs of skating shoes and various other household items believed to be stolen.

Police said the investigation is underway based on an FIR already registered in connection with the case.---------
