Guwahati, 06 December (HS):

The Kamrup Metropolitan District Transport Office organised a major public outreach and awareness programme titled “Raijor Seva Raijor Podulit” at the Digaru High School playground on Saturday.

The initiative aimed to provide immediate transport-related services to citizens, including on-the-spot renewal and updation of vehicle documents, issuance of learner’s licences to eligible applicants and prompt disposal of queries related to vehicle tax payments.

Local residents actively participated in the programme and expressed appreciation for the department’s public-friendly measures. District Transport Officer Gautam Das, along with other officials of the Transport Department, attended the event and extended services to the public throughout the day.
