New Delhi, 4 December (H.S.): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday carried out coordinated searches at 22 locations across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Haryana in connection with a probe into an illegal ammunition trafficking network operating between the two northern states.

According to officials, multiple NIA teams launched early morning raids at suspected premises linked to individuals and groups under investigation. The searches are aimed at uncovering evidence related to the procurement and transportation of illicit arms and ammunition.No arrests have been officially confirmed so far.

An NIA spokesperson stated that detailed information regarding the ongoing operation will be shared once the initial phase of the searches concludes.The crackdown forms part of the agency’s broader effort to dismantle smuggling networks that may have links to organized crime and potential terror financing channels in northern India.
