
New Delhi, 4 December (H.S.): On the occasion of Navy Day, President, Vice President, and several central and state leaders extended their greetings to Indian Navy personnel and their families, saluting their unmatched courage and commitment to safeguarding the nation’s maritime frontiers. Leaders lauded the Navy’s pivotal role in securing sea routes, supporting humanitarian efforts, contributing to disaster response, and strengthening global peace.
President Droupadi Murmu praised the Navy’s contribution to ensuring secure and sustainable seas. “Through the protection of sea routes, safeguarding marine resources, preventing illegal activities, and fostering maritime research, the Indian Navy reinforces our collective vision of safe, prosperous, and sustainable oceans,” she said.
The President extended warm wishes to serving and retired naval personnel and their families, honouring their vigilance, bravery, and dedication.Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan described the Indian Navy as a symbol of India’s maritime strength, alertness, and commitment to national interests. He commended its outstanding role in safeguarding the country’s extensive coastline and ensuring peace and stability in the Indian Ocean Region.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta extended heartfelt wishes to naval personnel and their families, calling the Navy “an unbreakable shield of courage, discipline, and duty that stands tall against endless waves.” She said every Indian takes pride in the sailors who protect the nation while staying away from their families.
BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda lauded the Navy’s unwavering commitment to the nation’s maritime security. “Their service instills confidence and pride among every Indian,” he said in a message.Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari saluted the Navy’s valour, saying, “The vigilant sentinels of our waters, committed to national service with courage and devotion, deserve our deepest respect on Navy Day.”
Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar said the nation takes immense pride in the Navy’s exemplary courage and dedication.Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal paid tribute to what he called the “guardians of the waves,” acknowledging their role in fortifying India’s maritime security and national defence.
