
New Delhi, 4 December (H.S.): Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Thursday held a crucial meeting with his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Murashko, focusing on enhancing bilateral collaboration in the health sector. The discussions reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for citizens of both countries.

Discussed various health sector related issues and agreed to enhance bilateral collaboration and partnership in health sector. Both sides reaffirmed commitment to advancing a shared vision of accessibility to affordable and quality healthcare.
During the talks, both ministers explored various health-related issues, agreeing to strengthen partnerships that could lead to improved healthcare access and delivery systems. The meeting comes amid Russian President Vladimir Putin’s two-day State visit to India, reflecting the growing strategic importance of health cooperation in India-Russia ties.Nadda emphasized that enhancing collaboration in pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and healthcare services is vital for building resilient healthcare systems.
The dialogue also highlighted ongoing efforts to promote local manufacturing, joint development of pharma and MedTech units, and digital health initiatives.This engagement marks another milestone in the multifaceted India-Russia partnership, complementing concurrent discussions on defence, trade, and scientific collaboration during Putin’s visit.
