
New Delhi, 4 December (H.S.): Domestic bullion markets staged a strong recovery on Thursday after a day of weakness, with gold prices surging by ₹670 to ₹730 per 10 grams and silver leaping ₹3,100 per kilogram in brisk trading. The rally propelled 24-carat gold to levels between ₹1,30,590 and ₹1,30,740 per 10 grams across major centres, while 22-carat gold traded at ₹1,19,710 to ₹1,19,860 per 10 grams.
Silver hit ₹1,91,000 per kilogram in Delhi's key trading hubs.In the national capital, 24-carat gold reached ₹1,30,740 per 10 grams, with 22-carat at ₹1,19,860. Mumbai quoted 24-carat at ₹1,30,590 and 22-carat at ₹1,19,710 per 10 grams, while Ahmedabad recorded 24-carat at ₹1,30,640 and 22-carat at ₹1,19,760. Chennai and Kolkata both saw 24-carat gold at ₹1,30,590 and 22-carat at ₹1,19,710 per 10 grams.
Bhopal aligned with Ahmedabad at ₹1,30,640 for 24-carat and ₹1,19,760 for 22-carat. Lucknow and Jaipur traded 24-carat gold at ₹1,30,740 and 22-carat at ₹1,19,860 per 10 grams, while Patna matched Bhopal's rates at ₹1,30,640 and ₹1,19,760 respectively.
The upward trend extended to southern and eastern markets, with Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar uniformly quoting 24-carat gold at ₹1,30,590 and 22-carat at ₹1,19,710 per 10 grams. Traders cited global cues, a depreciating rupee, and sustained demand from the ongoing wedding season as key drivers behind the sharp rebound.
