Imphal, 30 December (HS): Security Forces arrested two extortionists, a husband-and-wife duo belonging to the proscribed outfit PREPAK (G-5), from their locality under Lamphel Police Station in Imphal West district on Monday. The arrested persons have been identified as Konthoujam Chaoba Meitei alias Punshiba (46) of Sagolband Tera Khuraijam Leikai and his wife, Kongthoujam Sharmila Leima alias Nanao (43). A mobile phone was seized from the possession of the husband during the operation.

In a separate operation, Security Forces arrested an active cadre of PREPAK (PRO) outfit from Khangabok along NH-102 near the District Hospital Gate under Thoubal Police Station in Thoubal district. The arrested individual has been identified as Chandam Chandramani Singh alias Ghambir alias Tamyanganba (49) of Lairenkabi Maning Leikai, Imphal West district on the same day. A mobile phone along with a SIM card was recovered from his possession.
