Bhubaneswar, 30 December (H.S.) : Reacting strongly to a video circulating on social media allegedly showing a youth from Odisha being brutally assaulted in Tamil Nadu, Odisha BJP spokesperson and party leader Anil Biswal on Tuesday criticised the Tamil Nadu government, accusing it of failure to maintain law and order.

In a statement, Biswal said the video shows a group of people attacking the youth and later flashing a victory sign, which, he alleged, reflects a complete breakdown of law and order in Tamil Nadu. “The visuals indicate that the criminals acted without fear of the law. This clearly shows that the Tamil Nadu government has lost control over the law-and-order situation in the state,” he said.

The Odisha BJP demanded a fast-track investigation into the incident to ensure swift justice for the victim and also sought the resignation of the Tamil Nadu Home Minister, holding him morally responsible for the incident.
