Guwahati, 30 December (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday paid homage to renowned scientist and former ISRO Chairman Dr Vikram Sarabhai on his Punyatithi, remembering him as one of Bharat’s brightest scientific minds and a pioneer of space research.

In a social media message, the Chief Minister said that Dr Sarabhai laid the foundation of India’s scientific temperament and space journey, which later positioned the country among the leading space-faring nations of the world.

Dr Sarma added that Dr Vikram Sarabhai’s vision, dedication and contribution to science continue to inspire generations of scientists and innovators and the nation remembers him with deep reverence and gratitude for his enduring legacy.----------
