New Delhi, 3 December (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met West Bengal BJP MPs in Parliament premises on Wednesday, directing them to strengthen grassroots ties with the public, prepare detailed presentations, and ramp up groundwork for the 2026 state assembly elections while highlighting central welfare schemes.

State BJP president Shamik Bhattacharya, speaking to media post-meeting, revealed Modi urged MPs to activate party workers immediately, stay active on social media to disseminate central schemes, and spotlight TMC-linked violence, including the attack on MP Khagen Murmu, to expose the ruling party's tactics.

PM Modi inquired about Murmu's health and emphasized boosting public participation through sports festivals and social media campaigns alongside development works in constituencies, signaling an aggressive counter to TMC dominance ahead of the high-stakes polls.
