New Delhi, 3 December (H.S.): Multiple Indian airports experienced check-in system failures on Wednesday morning due to a global Microsoft Windows service outage, causing delays for flights operated by IndiGo, SpiceJet, Akasa Air, and Air India Express.

The disruption forced airlines to switch to manual check-in and boarding processes, resulting in long passenger queues and operational bottlenecks at major hubs including Delhi, Hyderabad, and Varanasi, where announcements explicitly cited the Microsoft outage impacting IT services.

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) stated its teams were coordinating with stakeholders for swift resolution to ensure seamless travel, while Microsoft denied any Windows outage when contacted, despite real-time passenger advisories confirming the linkage; no immediate airline comments were available.
