29 Dec (HS): The Shikohabad police station and the Special Operations Group
(SOG) team of Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh arrested two notorious
criminals in an encounter late Sunday night. The accused, who were injured by
bullets in their legs, have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Anuj Chaudhary said that on 25 October 2025,
after Deepak's son Pramod Kumar's Wagon-R car number UP-83-AZ-5280 was booked
on rent from Shikohabad, the accused sitting in the car as passengers robbed
the car at gunpoint and fled after throwing him on the road. In this regard,
the victim lodged a case at Shikohabad police station. During the
investigation, the names of the accused Raja alias Abhimanyu alias Honey son of
Ravindra Singh resident of Nagariya Yadwan police station Bharthana district
Etawah and Mohit alias Raja son of Vishnu resident of Niwadi Kala police
station Bakewar district Etawah came to light.
He
stated that Station House Officer (Shikohabad) Anuj Kumar was patrolling the
area with a police team late Sunday night when, acting on a tip-off, they
initiated intensive checking on Bhuda Bharthara Road. During the investigation,
police spotted a car. When the police team stopped them, two suspects in the
car opened fire. The police team, in self-defense, fired in retaliation,
hitting both suspects in the leg. The injured accused have been identified as
Raja alias Abhimanyu alias Honey and Mohit alias Raja. Two illegal 315-bore pistols,
two empty 315-bore cartridges, two live 315-bore cartridges, and the stolen
Wagon-R car were recovered from their possession. The ASP stated that the
injured accused have been admitted to the district hospital under police
custody for treatment. Further necessary action is underway. A dozen cases
under serious sections have been registered against the arrested accused in
various police stations in Etawah district.
