
Mumbai, 29 Dec (HS):
Bharatiya Janata Party has released the first list of candidates for the Mumbai
Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, BJP is contesting 128 seats out of a
total of 227 as a partner in the Mahayuti (Mega Alliance). Mumbai Unit President
of BJI, Amit Satam, announced the list of 66 candidates on Monday. The list of
other candidates will be released soon, Satam said.
Many youths have been
fielded by BJP in its first list, which includes Tejasvi Ghosalkar, Navnath
Ban, Makrang Narvekar, and Ganesh Khankar. Golsalkar recently entered BJP from
UBT Sena, and has been fielded from Dahisar area. Ravi Raja, who left Congress
to enter BJP has also been given ticket. The list also includes North Indian
community representatives.
Satam expressed
confidence that BJP will come victorious in BMC and the next Mayor will from among
them.
