Jammu, 26 December (H.S.): Yudhvir Sethi, MLA Jammu East, strongly reaffirmed his commitment to women empowerment, stating that the progress of society is directly linked to the empowerment of women. He said that women today are not only shaping families but are also playing a decisive role in building a strong and progressive nation.

Yudhvir Sethi, as the chief guest, was speaking at inspiring Nari Samelan organised by the All J&K Prajapati Sabha, Jammu at Sant Sri Gora Ji Maharaj Temple, Prajapati Bhawan, here on Thursday.

Yudhvir Sethi was accompanied by BJP’s Ambphalla Mandal president, Swati Sharma, district spokesman, Raman Sharma, vice president, Mandal Rohit Mahajan.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of a large number of women from the community and was marked by a spirit of unity, awareness, and social progress.

The Samelan was organised with the objective of promoting women empowerment, social awakening, and education of the younger generation for a sustainable and progressive future. Women from different age groups actively took part in the programme and shared their views on social development and self-reliance.

Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi highlighted the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in strengthening the role of women in society.

He said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Modi, women have moved from being beneficiaries to becoming leaders. Initiatives such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan accounts, Mudra loans, and the historic Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam have empowered women socially, economically, and politically.”

He added that women today are excelling in every field, from governance and entrepreneurship to science and defence, and this transformation has been possible due to strong policy support from the Centre.

Yudhvir Sethi also said that at the local level, his efforts remain focused on improving facilities for women through better infrastructure, health services, and community spaces.

Sethi announced that a new hall of the existing Prajapati Bhawan will be constructed from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to provide better facilities for the social, cultural and educational activities of the community.
