New Delhi, 23 December (H.S.): India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. on Tuesday announced the appointment of Hajime Ota as the new Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, effective January 1, 2026.

Prior to his appointment in India, Ota served as an Executive Officer at Yamaha Motor Company, Ltd., and held the position of General Manager (Chief Strategy Officer) at the company’s Corporate Strategy Center located at its global headquarters in Japan.

During his tenure, he spearheaded initiatives in corporate strategy, sustainable development, and digital transformation, steering Yamaha’s global growth and long-term planning.

Expressing his views on the new role, Ota described his appointment as a “significant responsibility” and said he looks forward to strengthening Yamaha’s brand presence in India. “My focus will be on introducing products that seamlessly combine Yamaha’s global engineering excellence with the evolving needs and aspirations of Indian consumers,” he said.

Ota emphasized that India represents one of the world’s most dynamic and diverse two-wheeler markets, and that Yamaha is deeply committed to serving it through innovation, quality, and performance-driven mobility solutions.
