
New Delhi, 23 December (H.S.): India's celebrated javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, a two-time Olympic medalist, along with his wife Himani Mor, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) confirmed the meeting through a press release under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, stating that the interaction covered various topics, with a special focus on sports.

Neeraj Chopra, renowned for his Olympic gold in Tokyo 2020 and silver in Paris 2024, marked 2025 with groundbreaking achievements, including breaching the elusive 90m barrier with a throw of 90.23m at the Doha Diamond League, setting a new Indian national record.
He also secured victories at events like the Ostrava Golden Spike (85.29m) and Paris Diamond League (88.16m), reinforcing his status as a global athletics powerhouse.
Himani Mor, a former tennis player from Haryana with a sports-oriented family background—her parents excelled in kabaddi and her siblings in boxing and wrestling—tied the knot with Chopra in an intimate ceremony in Shimla on January 16, 2025.
