
Sultanpur,
18 Dec (HS): In Kurmiyane Rampur, under the Lambhua police station area of
Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, a speeding truck lost control and rammed
into a tea stall. Two people, including the driver, died on the spot, while
three others were injured. On Thursday morning, a truck lost control due to
dense fog on the Diyara-Lambhua road in Kurmiyane Rampur, under the Kotwali
area. The truck rammed directly into Lalji's thatched tea stall and hit a tree.
Several customers were present at the shop. Rohit (25), son of Lalji, and his
wife Rajkumari (50) were present at the time of the accident. Rohit died on the
spot after being hit by the truck. Rajkumari was seriously injured and was
taken to the Central Health Center for treatment. Shriram, son of Jagroop, and
Nandu, also at the shop, were injured.
Upon
receiving the information, Lambhua police arrived at the scene and began relief
and rescue operations. Police used a JCB to move the truck back. A gas cutter
was called in to remove the body of the deceased driver, who was trapped near
the truck's steering wheel. The driver was identified as Ankit Pal, son of Shiv
Bahadur Pal, a resident of Imalia village, Haiderganj police station, Ayodhya.
A
bike and a bicycle were also damaged in the accident. The Deputy Tehsildar of
Lambhua also arrived at the scene. Police Inspector Sandeep Kumar Rai stated
that the body was sent for post-mortem examination. Further legal proceedings
are underway.
