Chennai, 18 December (H.S.) : Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief and actor Vijay is scheduled to address a massive campaign meeting today between eleven a.m. and one p.m. at a venue near the Vijayamangalam toll plaza in Perundurai taluk.

According to Actor Vijay team on X( https://x.com/ActorVijayTeam) , This event marks his first public rally since the tragic stampede in Karur on September twenty seven, which resulted in the loss of forty one lives. Elaborate security and logistical arrangements have been put in place to ensure a safe and orderly gathering, with an estimated attendance of thirty five thousand people including party cadres and the general public.

The meeting is being organized with exceptional security measures, including the installation of sixty closed circuit television cameras and the deployment of over one thousand police personnel for traffic and security management.

Medical teams comprising seventy two doctors and one hundred twenty nurses, along with twenty four ambulances and three fire service vehicles, are stationed at the venue to handle any emergencies.

K.A. Sengottaiyan, the chief coordinator of the party's high level administrative committee, stated that the arrangements exceed police stipulations and include adequate drinking water tanks and toilet facilities at twenty locations.

This rally in Erode is a significant part of Vijay’s revised 'Meet the People' statewide tour as he prepares for the twenty twenty six Assembly elections. The party has issued strict instructions to its cadre not to follow Vijay’s vehicle and to adhere to all police guidelines to avoid any congestion on the roads. To maintain safety, the party has specifically requested that pregnant women, children, and the elderly refrain from attending the meeting.

The event also highlights the leadership of K.A. Sengottaiyan, a former minister who recently joined the party, as he oversees the organizational strategy for the western districts.
