Lucknow,
18 Dec (HS): The Yogi government is encouraging farmers to adopt advanced
farming and higher yields through Krishi Vigyan Kendras. The Krishi Vigyan
Kendra in Bharari, Jhansi, is not only encouraging selected farmers from ten
adopted villages to adopt advanced farming but also providing them with free
seeds and fertilizers. By inviting these farmers to the Krishi Vigyan Kendra,
agricultural scientists are also introducing them to advanced and
higher-yielding methods.
Through
the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Jhansi, farmers in the adopted village have been
provided seeds of a new variety of wheat, Karan Vandana, which yields
significantly more than traditional wheat. Seeds of the Radhika variety of
mustard, which has more branches and increases yield, have also been provided.
Ready-made cauliflower plants of an improved variety, developed at the Krishi
Vigyan Kendra, have also been provided. These farmers have also been provided
with boron fertilizer, which helps increase the fertility of their fields.
Dr.
Aditya Kumar Singh, a scientist at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jhansi, stated
that farmers have been invited to the Krishi Vigyan Kendra and provided with
seeds, plants, and fertilizers. These farmers are being provided with methods
to increase yields and ongoing guidance. By adopting modern methods, farmers
can increase their agricultural yields.
