- AIUDF Formula Ignored, Congress Will Be Wiped Out: Ajmal

Guwahati, 18 December (HS): AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal launched a fresh attack on Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi, stating that he does not understand the language of politics and lacks the maturity required for strategic decision-making.

Ajmal warned that if the Congress fails to accept the AIUDF’s proposed political formula, the party risks being completely wiped out in Assam. He asserted that electoral politics in the state demands ground-level understanding and unity among opposition forces, which, according to him, the Congress leadership is currently ignoring.

Reiterating his criticism, the AIUDF chief said Gaurav Gogoi’s statements reflect political inexperience and a failure to grasp Assam’s complex electoral realities. Ajmal added that repeated disregard of AIUDF’s position would ultimately weaken the opposition and benefit rival parties.

The remarks come amid continuing tensions between the Congress and AIUDF over alliance strategies ahead of upcoming elections.-------
