The Chief Minister praised the Cachar Police for their prompt and decisive action, stating that the Assam Police has been playing a strong and proactive role in safeguarding the state’s borders. He reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining strict vigilance against illegal infiltration.

Dr Sarma asserted that the state government will continue to take stringent measures against those entering Assam illegally, adding that such actions are essential to protect the demographic, cultural and security interests of the state.
