
New Delhi, 18 December (H.S.): After a brief dip on Wednesday, the domestic bullion market witnessed a sharp upward trend today. Gold prices surged by ₹620 to ₹670 per 10 grams, while silver recorded an impressive rally of more than ₹12,000 per kilogram. This notable price rise has pushed gold and silver to new high levels across major cities in the country.In most bullion markets, 24-carat gold is currently trading between ₹1,34,520 and ₹1,34,670 per 10 grams.
Similarly, 22-carat gold is being sold in the range of ₹1,23,310 to ₹1,23,460 per 10 grams. Following the same bullish movement, silver once again crossed the ₹2 lakh mark in the Delhi bullion market, reaching ₹2,11,000 per kilogram.
In Delhi, 24-carat gold is trading at ₹1,34,670 per 10 grams, while the 22-carat variant stands at ₹1,23,460 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, in India’s financial capital Mumbai, 24-carat gold is priced at ₹1,34,520 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,23,310 per 10 grams.In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold is recorded at ₹1,34,570 per 10 grams, with 22-carat gold valued at ₹1,23,360.
The same price trend is observed in Chennai, where 24-carat gold is trading at ₹1,34,520 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,23,310 per 10 grams.Kolkata also reported similar figures, with 24-carat gold at ₹1,34,520 and 22-carat at ₹1,23,310 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, 24-carat gold is trading at ₹1,34,570 per 10 grams, while the 22-carat variant stands at ₹1,23,360.In Lucknow, gold prices have climbed to ₹1,34,670 per 10 grams for 24-carat and ₹1,23,460 for 22-carat.
Patna reflected nearly identical figures, with 24-carat gold at ₹1,34,570 and 22-carat gold at ₹1,23,360 per 10 grams. Jaipur too recorded a similar trend, showing 24-carat gold at ₹1,34,670 and 22-carat gold at ₹1,23,460 per 10 grams.
Just like other states, Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha also witnessed a bullish momentum in gold prices. In their respective capitals—Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar—24-carat gold is trading at ₹1,34,520 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is priced at ₹1,23,310 per 10 grams.
The recent surge has been attributed to firm global market cues and increased domestic demand ahead of the wedding season, signaling continued bullish sentiment in the bullion trade.
