
Nagaon (Assam), 18 December (HS): The Nagaon district administration has declared 15 individuals as foreigners and directed them to leave India within 24 hours. The order was issued by the Nagaon Commissioner following due administrative procedures.
According to official sources, although all 15 individuals had cited addresses in Nagaon district, investigations revealed that they were residing in different parts of Assam. Based on the findings, the administration issued expulsion notices, asking them to exit the country within the stipulated time.
The individuals declared foreigners include Jahura Khatun of Kandulimari under Dhing Police Station; Abdul Aziz of Hedayat under Nagaon Sadar; Aheda Khatun of Bogoriguri village under Juria Police Station; Ajufa Khatun of Garemati Khowa under Rupohi Police Station; Huchain Ali of Dighali Ati under Raha Police Station; Fazila Khatun of Hatiyujua under Jajori Police Station; Anowara Begum of Lengteng village under Samaguri Police Station; Asha Khatun of Shalbari under Samaguri Police Station; Nazrul Islam of Chaparmukh under Raha Police Station; Rahim Sheikh and Barek Ali, both of Dighali Ati under Raha Police Station; Iddis Ali of Raha Town; Rustam Ali of Hatigaon Bagan under Kaliabor Police Station; Anowar Khan of Garobandha village under Jakhalabandha Police Station and Taher Ali of Goraimari village under Uluwani Police Station.
The administration has warned that failure to comply with the order within the given timeframe will invite strict legal action as per prevailing laws.
